Do eyelash extensions hurt?

Accepted Answer

No.  Eyelash extensions should never hurt. Eyelash extensions are applied to your natural lashes about 1mm away from your skin. This allows for your natural lash cycle to take place without irritation.

Will Eyelash extensions cause damage to my natural lashes?

Accepted Answer

No. Natural lashes have a life cycle of 60-90 days. You naturally lose 1-3 eyelashes a day. You'll notice this shedding more with an extension attached. This is normal. At Pretty Gorgeous Lash Studio our focus is your lash health. We will not apply extensions that are too heavy for everyday wear.

Will I need to take a break from Lash extensions?

Accepted Answer

No. PGLS clients tend to not need a break from their extensions. Our technique and recommended lash designs offer our clients functional, low maintenance, and long wearability of extensions for months or even years. For this reason, we have not found it necessary to take a break from wearing eyelash extensions

How often do I need to return for touch-ups?

We recommend a lash touch-up every 3-4 weeks to enjoy the benefits of your eyelash extensions. With excellent aftercare, our lash extensions can last up to 5 weeks!

How do I take care of my eyelash extensions at home?

Accepted Answer

Maintain the beauty of your eyelash extensions at home by washing them with an oil-free foaming lash wash. Though you may not wear direct eye makeup, washing your lash extensions in the AM&PM is important. This Cleansing step will ensure all oil, powders, eye cream, and pollutants from the day are cleansed off your eyelid and lash line.

Can I Wear eyeliner with my Eyelash Extensions?

Accepted Answer

We don't recommend that you wear eyeliner. If it is a must, purchase a liquid eyeliner formulated to be worn with eyelash extensions.

Will washing my lashes make them shed faster?

Accepted Answer

No. Gently but thoroughly washing your lash extensions a minimum of once a day; will prolong your lash retention until your next lash visit.

Question 9

What do I need to do to prepare for my lash appointment?

Accepted Answer

-Ensure the skin around your eye area is completely clean of creams or makeup. Your lashes should be completely free of mascara or eyeliner.

-Refrain from drinking coffee the day of your appointment

-Bring earbuds to listen to your favorite music, book, or podcast if you like

-Silence all phones for an increased chance of a lash nap (highly recommend)
